LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT

Morogoro region is located at south – eastern part in Tanzania. most of families are characterized by low income which results to food insecurity, diseases, poor hygiene and sanitation.

LOCARICH conducts (mama niinue) project in three wards at Morogoro municipal which is Mwembesongwe ward, Mbuyuni ward and Misongeni ward which aims at reducing poverty by giving one time financial capital skills, and training to female headed households into business generating activities, as well as by moving highly low income households into a viable means of support. We promote increased income, food security and reduced vulnerability to poor female headed households. These initiatives give them the chance to share efforts to build their households, making them active agents of change. It aspires to give them hope to support themselves and their families using their skills.
